It is hereby informed to the current E3 & E4 students of Mechanical and Civil Engineering that, in an initiative to create better awareness amongst the Civil and the Mechanical Engineering students regarding the opportunities available in the construction and infrastructure related domains, NICMAR Hyderabad has been organizing a series of webinars/seminars for the 3rd and 4th year students.

As a part of this effort, their expert faculty would be explaining to the students about how these domains are growing and evolving, what is the potential for this domain over the next few years, what are the latest technologies/management principles that are being used today and the skills needed for a student to professionally grow in this domain.

NICMAR wishes to conduct this session for the students of RGUKT Basar, at a mutually convenient date and time in the online mode (in 1st week of May 2022). Final date would be confirmed in a day or two, the session will be of around 1.5 to 2 hours. The student community at Basar would be able to benefit from the expertise of their faculty members and the proposed session would be helpful for the current E3 and E4 students regarding the explicit career opportunities for them.

Dear Student,

We are happy to share that the Round 1 of HackWithInfy received an overwhelming participation from the students. Top 5000 programmers have been shortlisted to move up to Round 2 of the contest. We thank you for the encouragement and support extended.

Top 100 finalists who clear Round 2 will get an opportunity to compete in the Grand Finale, at Infosys Pune and win a pre-placement interview (PPI) for the Power Programmer role. The next top 500 finalists will get a PPI for the Systems Engineer role.

Instructions for Round 2

-       Please Note: Round 2 will be web proctored and it is mandatory to have a working webcam while taking the test, failing which the candidate will NOT be allowed to take the test.

-       Kindly ensure that the students are connected to a stable internet connection during the entire process, from the time they log in till the time they complete the challenge (recommended internet speed of minimum 3-4 Mbps).

-       Round 2 will be an individual challenge of 3 hours (180 mins), containing 3 problem statements to be solved within the time frame.

-       The candidates will receive an email from HackerRank (support@hackerrankforwork.com) with the test link, on their registered email address latest by Thursday, July 19, 2018.

-       Please ask the students to follow the instructions provided in the email and access the given link with their login credentials.

-       Please check if the login credentials of the students are functional. If the link or login credentials are not working, please write to us immediately at hackwithinfy@hackerrank.com, stating the problem along with a screenshot, if possible.

-       To prepare for the contest, students can test their coding skills and practice simple challenges at Solve Me First.

Please note: The shortlisted students will receive two emails – one from HackerRank (support@hackerrankforwork.com) containing the test link and the other from HackWithInfy (containing the instructions for Round 2). Please ensure each shortlisted student from your college has received both emails latest by 8 PM, July 19, 2018.

Rules for Round 2

-       Please note that certain browser requirements have to be met for taking the test. Please use either Google Chrome (latest or version 56) or Firefox (latest or version 51) or IE-Edge version (although this is not recommended).

-       All submissions will be run through a plagiarism detector. In case of code plagiarism, both the contestants will be disqualified from the contest.

-       Round 2 will begin on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 10 AM. The students will have to log in on the provided link and finish the challenge in 180 minutes.

-       The candidates can start taking the test anytime between 10 AM to 11 AM.

-       Each participant will get 180 minutes from the time he/she begins taking the test. For example, if they start the test at 10:30 AM, they will be required to complete it by 1:30 PM.

-       Any participant found using any unfair means at any stage will be instantly disqualified.

-       Should students face any platform issues during the challenge, please ask them to call the HackerRank helpline +91-8880-811-222 or write to hackwithinfy@hackerrank.com.

Scoring for Round 2

-       Each question carries pre-determined marks. A participant’s final score will depend on the number of test cases his/her code submission successfully passes.

We have also sent an email confirmation to each contestant who has qualified for Round 2.

While the test can be taken online from any location, we advise you to provide dedicated labs with stable internet connectivity to the students for the contest. Systems with web camera is a pre-requisite for the students to participate in the challenge. For Round 2, we advise you to block the labs from 9:30 AM to 2.30 PM on Monday, July 23, 2018.

It would be highly appreciated if you could assign faculty members to monitor the students participating from the lab, so that the contest can run without any discrepancies. We request you to report any malpractices or anomalies observed during the contest to our regional recruiter.

The contest will be promoted on social media till the Grand Finale. It is to inform that as the End Semester exams are scheduled from 11.11.2017, all the class rooms (except M.Tech class rooms) will remain closed from tomorrow i.e. 10.11.2017 at 10.00 PM. Hence, the students are requested to take away all their belongings from their respective class rooms which include books and any other material from their laptops.

The class rooms will remain closed completely till the end of the End Semester exams
