The Department of Physical Education hereby informs all PUC-I and PUC-II students that the Kabaddi Team Selection Trials for the PUC Annual Games 2026–27 will be conducted on 7 September 2026.

The selections are being organized to identify talented and committed players who will represent the PUC in the upcoming Annual Sports & Games competitions during the academic year 2026–27.

INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

1. All interested and eligible students are encouraged to participate in the selection trials.
2. Students must report at the Shathavahana ground stage by 4:45 PM for registration and preliminary arrangements.
3. Participants must come in proper sports attire** and suitable sports footwear.
4. Students are expected to maintain discipline and follow the instructions of the Physical Education faculty and selection officials.
5. Selection will be based on **fitness, agility, skills, game awareness, teamwork, performance and overall suitability** for representing the institution.
6. Participation in the selection trial **does not automatically guarantee selection** to the final team.
7. Selected players will be informed through the **HUB/Department of Physical Education** regarding further practice sessions, fixtures and other team-related activities.
8. Students who are interested in representing the institution are strongly encouraged to make use of this opportunity and demonstrate their sporting abilities.

The team registration deadline for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 has been extended to 10 September 2026.
SIH is a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Education where students build innovative solutions for real-world challenges faced by government departments and industries. This event offers a direct platform to develop practical problem-solving skills, gain national exposure, and represent RGUKT Basar at a premier technical competition.

All the students, boys and girls  from P1 to E4 are hereby informed that the Sports New Year 2026–27 is commencing with the Annual Games and Sports activities for the academic year 2026–27.

The following schedule and instructions are hereby notified:

1. PUC ANNUAL GAMES 2026–27

The PUC Annual Games 2026–27 will be conducted from 10th September 2026 to 31st December 2026.

Various games and events will be conducted under the supervision and coordination of the respective staff members of the **Department of Physical Education**.

2. ENGINEERING BRANCH GAMES 2026–27

The Engineering Branch Annual Games 2026–27 will be conducted from 10th September 2026 to 31st January 2027.

The respective games and events will be organized and conducted by the concerned staff members of the **Department of Physical Education**.

3. PUC ANNUAL GAMES 2026–27 – CRICKET TEAM SELECTIONS

As part of the PUC Annual Games 2026–27**, Cricket Team Selections for both Boys and Girls will be conducted.

All interested PUC students are hereby informed to assemble at the Shathavahana Ground Stage on 7th September 2026 at 5:00 PM for the Cricket Team Selection and formation of teams.

Team Composition
Each Cricket Team shall consist of 12 players.
7 players from P2
5 players from P1
Separate teams will be formed for Boys and Girls.

All interested students are requested to attend the selection process on time and actively participate in the team selection.

 4. CRICKET MATCH SCHEDULE

The detailed Cricket fixtures and match schedules will be prepared and announced after completion of the team selection process.

The Cricket matches are **tentatively scheduled to commence from 10th September 2026**.

5. BADMINTON ACTIVITIES – ON HOLD

The Badminton activities are temporarily kept on hold as the repair and maintenance works of the Badminton Court are pending.

Badminton practice sessions and matches will be resumed after completion of the required **court repair and maintenance works**. Further information regarding the resumption of Badminton activities will be communicated to the students separately.

6. GUIDELINES FOR ALL SPORTS ACTIVITIES

All students participating in the Annual Games and Sports activities are required to strictly follow the following guidelines:

1. Sports Attire is Mandatory: All participating students must wear proper sports attire and appropriate sports footwear suitable for the respective game/event.

2. **Discipline is Mandatory: All participants must maintain strict discipline, sportsmanship and respectful behaviour throughout the games and competitions.

3. Students must report to the designated venue on time and follow the instructions of the concerned Physical Education staff.

4. Students shall maintain proper discipline both on and off the playing field and shall not engage in arguments, misconduct or any form of indiscipline.

5. Players must use the sports facilities, equipment and playing grounds carefully and responsibly.

6. Any damage to sports equipment or facilities due to negligence or misconduct may be viewed seriously.

7. Students must respect officials, Physical Education staff, team members, opponents and fellow students.

8. Players who fail to follow the prescribed sports attire, discipline or instructions of the concerned staff may not be permitted to participate in the respective game/event.

9. All students are expected to uphold the spirit of fair play, teamwork and healthy competition.

7. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

All students are encouraged to participate actively in the Annual Games and Sports activities and make the Sports New Year 2026–27 successful and memorable.

Students are requested to cooperate with the Department of Physical Education and strictly follow the schedules, guidelines and instructions issued from time to time.
