IT Employability Program:
IT Employability through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of TCS which helps to enhance the employability skills of rural undergraduate students, promoting inclusive growth students from rural engineering colleges to become competitive enough to face the selection of processes of top IT brands. Students go through three modules and spread across three semester. TCSers volunteer to be faculty and train the students during weekends. This program works with the true TCS CSR sprit of ‘Impact through Empowerment’, where empowerment is a process of strengthening the future today, so that risks are minimized and certainty is experienced. TCS makes this happen using its IT core competence and active involvement of its employees and leadership team. The program helps to bring in a noticeable transition in the lives of rural students and they would step confidently into corporate world.
Selection Criteria:
The below is the selection criteria for the students.
Each batch to have 40 students – comprising of 25~40% SC/ST and rest poor meritorious from all other categories.
SC/ST students adhering to the below conditions:
I. Marks: Consistent academic performance (with scores of 60% and above) in Graduation, Class XII and Class X is required. CGPA - 6.0 for all students.
II. Breaks/ Gap in Education: There should be no break in studies. However, as an exception, a maximum of 2 years of break in studies is permissible on account of valid reasons.
III. One backlog is allowed for students.
Poor meritorious students adhering to the below income criteria (along with conditions mentioned above)
IV. Income Criteria: Family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 3.6 lakh per annum. Candidates will be required to produce any of the below documents for recording the Income Criteria which is a pre- requisite.
a. Income Tax Return document of parents/ parent as applicable. (Wherever the Income Tax. Return of parents is not filed/not available; candidates may produce either of the following documents.)
b. Notarized Undertaking of Annual Income. (Note : amount of the notarized bond is Rs. 20 )
c. Bank Statement of previous 6 months (If Parents have Bank Accounts)
TCS does a preliminary review and finalizes the students in the batches based on the eligibility criteria.

This is to inform that the cultural events scheduled today i.e., 03-03-2017 are cancelled due to the death of Ms. K.Radha (B101315) of E4 sem2, MME. As a mark of paying homage to the departed soul, all the cultural programs of today are set aside. The revised and adjusted programme schedule of TRINAYA- 2K17 will be worked out and notified as early as possible. Hence kindly understand the concern and cooperate accordingly.

Dear Students,
Please find the rules and deadlines for SIH-2022.
TEAM FORMATION:
1) All team members should be from same college; no inter-college teams are allowed. However, members from different branches of the same college/ institute are encouraged to form a team.
2) Each team would mandatorily comprise of 6 members including the team leader.
3) Each team must have AT LEAST ONE FEMALE TEAM MEMBER.
4) As the software edition of the hackathon is digital product development competition, majority of the team members MUST be well versed with programming skills. For the hardware edition, we encourage multi-disciplinary teams – which means your team should have a good mix of Mechanical Engineers, Electronic Engineers, Product Designers and Programmers, etc.
5) The nominated teams should have participated in the recommended Internal hackathon.
PROBLEM STATEMENTS AND PRIZES TO BE WON:
1) SIH2022 brings you problem statements from leading public and private organizations, union ministries, state governments and NGOs in India.
2) There would be ONE single winning team for every problem statement posted on the portal. The prize money will be given by the collaborating ministry/ industry ONLY IF that organization likes the idea of the winning team. However, it is NOT mandatory to announce only one winning team against each problem statement. If the collaborating ministry/ industry conclude that none of the ideas are up-to-the-mark, they may not announce any winning team at the finale.
3) Amount of prize money to be awarded to each winning team is Rs.100000/- per problem statement.
4) If there is a tie between two or more teams, the final decision of the prize money distribution will be taken by the problem statement creator only and once the decision is made, it won’t be changed further.
5) Teams are also encouraged to think out-of-the-box and provide creative solutions to themes under ‘Students Innovation’ category. Please note that only 15 teams’ max (Including theme based/Student Innovation) are allowed from one college.
6) Prize money for student innovation category will also be different. 3 teams per nodal center will be selected of which 1st prize money will be of Rs 1 Lac and 2nd of Rs 75000 and 3rd will be of Rs 50000. There may be 3-4 nodal centers (tentatively) for student innovation category.

Dear Students,
In continuation to the previous notice posted in the hub, PUC-II students who have cleared all the subjects in re-remedial examination with a CGPA >= 6, are required to submit the consent form regarding the branch allocation. Seats are vacant only in MME and Chemical Engineering Departments. Those who submit consent forms on or before 10.07.2017 by 5 PM will be considered for the branch allocation against the vacant seats in MME & Chemical Engineering Departments.
