Dear Students,

                                                           Bolt IoT scholarship program

1) What is the Bolt IoT scholarship program?
As part of this program, the qualifying students of RGUKT Basar can join the Bolt IoT and ML online video training for FREE. They only have to purchase the hardware kit worth Rs.2,750/- required to build various hands-on projects as part of the training.
Students have to visit https: //shop.boltiot.com/pages/scholarship to answer the scholarship test.

Since MHRD and AICTE policy has made it compulsory for engineering students to undergo internship or training, this training offers them the necessary certificate.
 
 
2) What are some of the activities that students will perform as part of this IoT & ML summer training?
      a) Learn concepts of IoT and ML from basics
      b) Learn programming languages like Python, HTML and Javascript
      c) During the training, we will be available to solve any of your doubts or queries.
      d) Students will build 14 different hands-on projects such as Home Automation, Smart Farming, 
      e) Industrial Temperature Monitoring with Predictive Maintenance etc.
 
3) Why should the students avail this scholarship on IoT and ML training?
         This four weeks of online video training is excellent for those who want to start with IoT and ML because it teaches them to build projects from the basics.
        Certificate: upon completion of the training which can be submitted as part of AICTE rules as well as during the job application process.

4) Better job opportunities:
          IoT and ML are in-demand technologies so hands-on knowledge of these will increase the student's chance of getting a better job offer by manifold.
          The number of engineering students is growing year on year, and comparatively, there are fewer job vacancies. Hence hiring companies look for engineering students who have to build hands-on projects beyond their college curriculum during the selection process as these students already have the required knowledge. As part of this training, students will build such hands-on projects, and it will help them stand out from the competition.
 
5) Other critical points:
The option of full refund: In case the students are not happy with the hardware or the training offered to them, then they can return it and get full refund as per the refund policy. This ensures that there is no risk for students or the faculty involved in the process.
Lifetime access: Students can register now and start the training after the exams or at any other time.

6) How to avail the scholarship?
To avail the scholarship, the students have to answer a scholarship test and qualify for the same by scoring at-least 70% marks.
This is a short test and will not take more than 10 minutes of the students. This ensures that they can answer it without spending much time if they have exams ongoing.

The #HackWithInfy contest is open only to select colleges and our esteemed institution is one of them. 

#HackWithInfy 2019 will be conducted in three rounds: 

I.   Round 1 will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019, and Monday, July 1, 2019. It is an online challenge.

II.  Round 2 will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019, and Monday, July 15, 2019. It is an online challenge.

University of Mumbai, and Goa University, in association with Vijnana Bharati Mumbai and Maritime Research Centre, Pune, is organizing an Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) Summer School in Mumbai and Goa. This will be a six week project based internship, essentially to create awareness about the ocean and relevant acoustic technology driven maritime strategies with in-depth research and analysis.

UDA Summer School aims to connect the academia to the stake holders including industry, research organizations, strategic think tanks and the users with application oriented human resource development and technology awareness. A detailed concept note is attached for your kind perusal.

The UDA Summer School 2018 was well received across the stakeholders and participants. The projects undertaken by the participants had significant relevance to the SAGAR vision of the Honourable Prime Minister. The valedictory function for the event was held at the office of the Honourable Chief Minister of Goa, Late Shri Manohar Parrikar and he being the Former Defence Minister appreciated the concept.
