As an initiative to continuously strengthen our collaborations with each other, we extend to you an invitation to partner in our University Engagement initiative, ‘Semicolon;’ –  a Hackathon.

This opportunity would leverage students to brainstorm on a problem statement as well as broaden their approach to solve and develop solutions through their creative mind.

We invite you to bring in your innovative students to join this venture and discover the thrill of challenge and accomplishment. Please find below the details of the event: 

Eligible candidates: 2nd year (3rd semester) B.tech/B.Sc. /BCA Students

For B.tech: All students from CS/IT/EC Dept.

For B.Sc. : All students from CS Dept.

Eligibility Criteria:   60% in 10th ,60% in 12th , 70% current aggregate till date in University Exams

Team formation:  Max 3 members in each team (1/2/3 in each team)


The participating team can choose a relevant domain of their own choice. They may also refer to some of the domains mentioned:

The finalists would get to come down to SAP Labs for a code show-down and finally, winners would claim the champions position and overwhelming rewards!

Steps for round 1:

Come up with an idea revolving around the mentioned domains or if you have chosen some other one apart from these
Fill in the form attached in this email (please rename the file to Team_name_<college_name>Submission.docx)
Mail us back the filled-in template with the required specification through mail by 18th August 2019.

Round 2: Pitch It

Flow chart, documentation, detailed problem statement, strategy, technology used, scope, propose solution

Today is the last date (24.07.2019) of registration for TCS National Qualifier Test.


TCS National Qualifier Test (TNQT) has been a game changer for TCS and this year is no exception as the batch of 2020 prepares itself to take up the assessment. For the TNQT 2020 to be a success, it is important that we have our ears to the ground and incorporate inputs and suggestions from the Institutes, Students and Training & Placement officer’s (TPO) fraternity.

Based on the requests received from various TPOs and institutes across India for accommodating a change in the date of TNQT 2020 so as to accommodate their students, we are revising the dates to 3rd & 4th August, 2019 as against the earlier planned date of 20th July, 2019. Our portals have been updated with the changed dates along with the eligibility criteria and assessment related information. Registrations will be kept open till 24th July, 2019.

Students who have already registered will automatically get batched for the test on either 3rd or 4th August 2019.  Students who are freshly registering will be able to select only 3rd Aug as the test date on the portal, though the batching would be done to either 3rd or 4th August 2019, based on the capacity of the locations.

We are already in the process of communicating the ‘change in date’ to all registered students via e mail, SMS & updates on TCS portal. Parallely, we request you to help cascade the information to your registered students and more importantly, use this as an opportunity to get the other eligible students in your institutes registered

It is hereby informed to all aspirants of THOUGHTWORKS RECRUITMENT DRIVE that the drive is scheduled on 20th July 2019, 8:45AM at AB-I auditorium (Pre-Placement Talk) followed by written test at AB-II.
PROCESS OF SELECTION:

1. Interview: HackerEarth test
Focus Area: 2 programming questions to be solved in 1hour time. Focus will be on algorithms and basic programming.

2. Interview: Pair Programming 
Focus Areas: A problem statement is given and depending on the time allocated, the candidate is expected to approach the problem in the best suited way as per his/her understanding. The assessment weightage is more on the way the candidate thinks, designs the solution and approaches the problem. The candidate is expected to write clean, understandable and extendable code. One of the Thought Workers will pair up with them in this round.
Duration: 2 hours

3. Interview: Technical Interview
Focus Areas: OOPs Design, Logical Problem Solving (Data Structure, Algorithms), DB, Technology Depth/Breadth and Prior experience on Projects, if any. 
Duration: 1 – 1.5 hrs
 
4. Interview: Leadership & Cultural round 
Focus Areas: Ownership, Ability to influence, Resilience
