As a part of TCS Corporate Social Responsibility, TCS is offering Youth Employment program (Training) for RGUKT Basar Students (Current E3 (B16 Batch) students).
Please find the program details, selection criteria for the Youth Employment Program.
Program Details:
The program comprises of 3 modules covering Business communication, Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Basics of Programming, C++, Java, Python.
The training intervention starts off during the Vth semester and continues in a phased manner till the VIIth semester via Phygital (Physical + Digital) Model.
1.1 Program Details

• Business Skills – 32 hours
• Quantitative aptitude – 16 hours

1.2 Selection Criteria:
College to provide the list of students in Semester V Mechanical/Elect/Electronics/Comp Science/IT/or equivalent.
Each batch to have 50 students – comprising of 15~40% SC/ST and rest poor meritorious from all other categories.
SC/ST students adhering to the below conditions:
I. Marks: Consistent academic performance (with scores of 60% and above) in Graduation, Class XII and Class X is required. CGPA - 6.0 for all students.
II. Breaks/ Gap in Education: There should be no break in studies. However, as an exception, a maximum of 2 years of break in studies is permissible on account of valid reasons.
III. One backlog is allowed for students.
Poor meritorious students adhering to the below income criteria (along with conditions mentioned above)
IV. Income Criteria: Family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 6 lakh per annum. Candidates will be required to produce any of the below documents for recording the Income Criteria which is a pre- requisite.
a. Income Tax Return document of parents/ parent as applicable. (Wherever the Income Tax. Return of parents is not filed/not available; candidates may produce either of the following documents.)
b. Notarized Undertaking of Annual Income. (Note: amount of the notarized bond is Rs. 20/-)
c. Bank Statement of previous 6 months (If Parents have Bank Accounts)
TCS does a preliminary review and finalizes the students in the batches based on the eligibility criteria.

Round 1 details for your institute are as follows :-
Date: 30th June 2019
Test Start Time: 10:30 am (login window will be for 30 minutes )
Duration: 3 hours
No. of coding questions: 3
Mode: Online internet-based test ( please ensure you have good internet connectivity of 2 Mbps for a smooth experience )
A detailed emails containing all the necessary information has been sent to every registered student.
Please note: Registered students will receive two emails – one from HackerRank (support@hackerrankforwork.com) containing the test link and the other from infytq@infosys.com (containing the instructions for Round 1). Please ensure each student who has registered from your college for HackWithInfy has received both emails. If a registered student does not receive the email from HackerRank by June 28 – 8 pm, or if the student is unable to access the participation link, please inform the the placement office immediately with student’s registration details.
Rules and instructions for Round 1
1) It is an individual online test of 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes. If test is started at 10 AM, it will have to complete by 1 PM
2) The login window is for 30 minutes and participants need to begin the test within this time window.
3) Participants can take the test from anywhere but we recommend them to check with their placement officer to see if labs have been arranged in their college.
4) Browser requirements for the test: Google Chrome (latest or version 56) or Firefox (latest or version 51).
5) All code submissions are run through a plagiarism detector. In case of plagiarism, all the participants involved will be disqualified from the competition. Also, any participant found using any unfair means at any stage will be instantly disqualified.
6) Test will have 3 problem statements each of which will have a pre-determined score. A participant’s final score will depend on the number of test cases his/her code submission successfully passes.
7) Participants can test their hacking skills and practice simple challenges at Solve Me First .
