Dear Student,

We are happy to share that the Round 1 of HackWithInfy received an overwhelming participation from the students. Top 5000 programmers have been shortlisted to move up to Round 2 of the contest. We thank you for the encouragement and support extended.

Top 100 finalists who clear Round 2 will get an opportunity to compete in the Grand Finale, at Infosys Pune and win a pre-placement interview (PPI) for the Power Programmer role. The next top 500 finalists will get a PPI for the Systems Engineer role.

Instructions for Round 2

- Please Note: Round 2 will be web proctored and it is mandatory to have a working webcam while taking the test, failing which the candidate will NOT be allowed to take the test.

- Kindly ensure that the students are connected to a stable internet connection during the entire process, from the time they log in till the time they complete the challenge (recommended internet speed of minimum 3-4 Mbps).

- Round 2 will be an individual challenge of 3 hours (180 mins), containing 3 problem statements to be solved within the time frame.

- The candidates will receive an email from HackerRank (support@hackerrankforwork.com) with the test link, on their registered email address latest by Thursday, July 19, 2018.

- Please ask the students to follow the instructions provided in the email and access the given link with their login credentials.

- Please check if the login credentials of the students are functional. If the link or login credentials are not working, please write to us immediately at hackwithinfy@hackerrank.com, stating the problem along with a screenshot, if possible.

- To prepare for the contest, students can test their coding skills and practice simple challenges at Solve Me First.

Please note: The shortlisted students will receive two emails – one from HackerRank (support@hackerrankforwork.com) containing the test link and the other from HackWithInfy (containing the instructions for Round 2). Please ensure each shortlisted student from your college has received both emails latest by 8 PM, July 19, 2018.

Rules for Round 2

- The candidates can start taking the test anytime between 10 AM to 11 AM.

- Each participant will get 180 minutes from the time he/she begins taking the test. For example, if they start the test at 10:30 AM, they will be required to complete it by 1:30 PM.

- Any participant found using any unfair means at any stage will be instantly disqualified.

- Should students face any platform issues during the challenge, please ask them to call the HackerRank helpline +91-8880-811-222 or write to hackwithinfy@hackerrank.com.

Scoring for Round 2

- Each question carries pre-determined marks. A participant’s final score will depend on the number of test cases his/her code submission successfully passes.

We have also sent an email confirmation to each contestant who has qualified for Round 2.

While the test can be taken online from any location, we advise you to provide dedicated labs with stable internet connectivity to the students for the contest. Systems with web camera is a pre-requisite for the students to participate in the challenge. For Round 2, we advise you to block the labs from 9:30 AM to 2.30 PM on Monday, July 23, 2018.

It would be highly appreciated if you could assign faculty members to monitor the students participating from the lab, so that the contest can run without any discrepancies. We request you to report any malpractices or anomalies observed during the contest to our regional recruiter.

The contest will be promoted on social media till the Grand Finale. Please encourage your students to follow us on Twitter (@InfosysCareers) and Facebook (@Infosys), spread the word, and cheer for their friends. Please visit the #HackwithInfy website for more information and updates about the competition.
