Who are we?
•	The name "Layer0x" symbolizes foundational or base layer, technologies, with "0th layer" representing the fundamental level. The "x" denotes variable technologies that evolve over time, such as blockchain, AI, etc., aimed at addressing core problems.
•	Product based company based out of Hyderabad, India
•	We work with technologies like blockchain and data science in domains such as Finance and Media
•	Started in 2016 and now with an office based out of Filmnagar
•	Work with open source projects and enterprise implementations
•	We are a startup and not a multi-national corporation but: 
o	work remotely (right now)
o	with flexible start and end time (but work needs to be done and with an overlap of at least 6 hours with the entire team)
o	provide lunch (when office starts)
•	We are a team of 10-15. This means, you will be responsible for your own work and there might not be a whole lot of training involved
•	We work 24x7 but mostly, 6 days a week and are available to work as required
•	We are extremely social and believe in impact by executing. Contributed to various open source projects, did/doing fundraisers for COVID and more.
Current challenges being worked on include but are not limited to:
1.	Media Tech - manage automation related to management of intellectual property.
2.	FinTech - utilize blockchain to manage an organization in a completely autonomous fashion
3.	FinTech - create on-chain solutions for regulatory compliance
4.	Media Tech - develop computer vision models to understand movies and provide insights for creators, studios, brands & every stakeholder involved in the content creation ecosystem
5.	Media Tech - develop blockchain protocols and applications for creators and communities/DAOs.
What are we looking at?	skill more than experience
As a member of the Software Engineering team, you will be required to:
•	Work on and handle Software Engineering operations - planning, resource allocation, engineering (development, deployment & testing) and management of products developed by the organization
•	Develop object-oriented system design solutions for products
•	Identify/anticipate engineering bottlenecks and derive solutions beforehand
•	Develop backend and/or frontend systems that interact with one or more blockchains
•	Develop blockchain based modules for management of intellectual property and more
You will be responsible for:
•	Engineering, which includes (domains like blockchain, AI, enterprise applications, etc.) and Research is at both levels - individual and organisational
•	Communication of latest updates to the team. Stay updated with the latest technologies and provide research (& your personal opinion) to apply it in a business context
•	DevOps to manage blockchain infrastructure and more
Standard stack includes:
•	Languages — Python, Golang/Rust, JavaScript (NodeJS & ReactJS)
•	Dev Ops Stack — Instance Virtualization, Docker (container networking, etc.)
•	Databases — MongoDB, LevelDB, etc.
•	Working and visualizing large data sets (with the blockchain as the source of truth)
•	Smart Contracts — Solidity / Rust
Experience in any of the below is a plus — one skill/experience from any of the below is required and mandatory:
•	Experience or working knowledge of Solidity
•	Architecting distributed and scalable apps for 1M or more concurrent users
•	Blockchain Frameworks — Ethereum, Tendermint Core & Cosmos SDK
•	Smart Contracts — Solidity on EVM-based chains, JS and Rust with other frameworks like Agoric's dIBC and CosmWasm
•	Blockchain Interoperability — Cosmos Interblockchain Communication
Compensation and offering:
•	Paid internship until May 2024
•	Expectation of major project being worked on at the organization
•	Expectation of working with open source code at the highest of standards
•	Work with Golang and/or Rust is key
•	Need to have excellent verbal skills and must identify & solve problems rather than wait for someone to provide solutions
•	Should be very good at written communication and/or use AI-based tools for excellent communication
•	Package starts between 3,50,000 INR to 4,00,000 INR as initial CTC after the internship and can go upto 6,00,000 INR or even 8,00,000 as variable pay depending on the performance of the candidate during the internship and the first year of engagement
•	Note that the offer letter right now is for the internship and is not for the full time role as it is offered in the month of June 2024 after completion of formalities after the internship phase and with the course completion certificate from RGUKT.
In this role, you will be responsible for engineering (in domains like blockchain, AI, enterprise applications, etc.) and research at both the individual and organizational levels.
You must communicate the latest updates to the team and stay updated with the latest technologies and provide research and your personal opinion to apply it in a business context. You will need to have an awareness and work on DevOps as well to manage blockchain infrastructure as required.

This is the seventh season of EngiNX and the contest has evolved with every season, being in sync with the changing technology landscape and making it interesting and challenging for the students to participate. Being a team contest it gives students an opportunity to interact and work with students from other disciplines and learn from one another during the process. Junior AI Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
•	Ideate and formulate a pragmatic blueprint for enterprise AI platform solution and subsequent development using Deep learning with a cross-functional team of talented engineers, Motivated self-learner
•	Collaborate well with engineers, researchers, and data implementation specialists to design and create advanced, elegant and efficient AI based solutions for business problems
•	Implement best practices in coding, collaborating and maintaining code repositories
•	Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of AI platforms 
•	Provide real time knowledge transfer to the team on the Requirements based on client facing meetings and white boarding workshops
•	Help in writing a comprehensive proposal with the help of the other engineers on the project
•	Work in an agile environment based on the defined sprint backlogs to deliver the assigned work in the stipulated timelines.
•	Adhere to software development best practices and coding standards in all work products and participate in the refinement of those practices and standards to improve quality and productivity
•	Work collaboratively with a cross functional team of engineers under the guidance of an AI platform lead

Required skills
•	Very strong engineering degree in Computer Science/or other engineering discipline from top tier schools 
•	Formal training on Data science, Machine Learning including NLP either as part of the curriculum or any training course

As you are well aware, Engineers’ Day is celebrated on September 15 every year in India commemorating the birthday of one of the greatest engineers in India so far and a great human being Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya. The University is celebrating the “Engineers Day” on September 15th, 2019 (Sunday) with a theme “Engineering for Change”. 

Highlights of the Event:
•	Ride on Electric Vehicles developed by RGUKT Basar Students
•	Central Quiz Competition – Interdisciplinary Teams (students from all departments form a team)
•	Human Chain formation – Representing the University and Department Logos 
•	Flash Mob by students from all departments.
•	Department events with the Theme of “Engineering for Change”.
•	Poster presentations
•	Department Videos comprising of service of the Department to the society and achievements 
•	Stage performances by all the department students. 

Thereby, your presence and participation would give an insight about the engineering departments and the achievements of the university and the departments. This would certainly motivate you to become great engineers.

Please note that each round acts as a filter for the next round of the selection process and candidates clearing the specific rounds will be contacted for the further evaluation process.
Round 1 & 2 will be conducted virtually.
Technical & HR Interview may be conducted in Tech Mahindra Offices and candidates clearing all 2 Rounds will have to visit Tech Mahindra offices for the interviews (Details will be shared separately).

Academic eligibility:

Candidate should have scored min. of 65% (Without Rounding-up) in SSC/10th, HSC/12th /Diploma (in case done) and BE/B.Tech
Eligible Courses – BE/B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering / ECE
Candidate should be completing the eligible course in 2024 without any backlog and should have Consolidated marksheet or Provisional Degree Certificate issued at the time of offer.
There should not be a gap of more than one year after completing SSC and before joining the graduate/post-graduate course. Also, there should not be a loss of academic year after joining a course.
Note – Rounding up of marks to 65% to become eligible for the registration is NOT valid.

Joining Location and Work Timings:

Positions are open for Tech Mahindra across location in india.
Candidate should be flexible to work on different projects at any of the Tech Mahindra Development Center’s or Client Locations spread across country according to company work hours
Candidate should be open to working in different shifts
 
Bond and compensation:

Upon Selection

Candidate will be on probation for 6 months
Candidate will be eligible for CTC of INR 3.25 L /Annum
Candidate will have to sign an indemnity bond for INR 1 L for a mandatory service period of 2 years from date of joining the company.
 
Note: During probation, the candidate may undergo unit specific classroom training / on-the-job-training / shadowing / all as per the business requirement.
