Dear Students,

Infosys invites applications from your institute for the Infosys Internship Program For Persons With Disabilities (PwD) 2022-23. We invite the participation of students from the 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 batch. The objective of this program is to strengthen the talent pipeline of persons with disabilities for the industry. ·         Selection Process:

1.       Applications will be invited for candidates with 50% and above in 10th, 12th and UG/PG from BE, BTech, ME, MTech, BCA, BSc, MCA, MSc courses

2.       Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a virtual interview


·         Onboarding Process:

1.       Candidates selected after the interview round will be onboarded as interns for a duration of 6 months

2.       Post successful completion of internship, candidate will be given a certificate of completion. Candidates will also have an opportunity to apply for roles in the industry. If the candidate is selected for a position in Infosys, they could look at the following positions: 

a.       Systems Engineer - BE, BTech, ME, MTech, MCA, MSc graduates

b.       Systems Associate - BCA, BSc graduates

3.       Stipend during the internship period will be 6,000 per month

4.       Laptop will be provided at the start of the internship period

The eligibility criteria for both the roles has been shared below.

1.       Disability certificate issued by the government with a disability percentage of 40% or higher.

2.       Full-time degree recognized by the Indian Central/State Government

3.       Academic criteria of 50% and above throughout education history

As a part of TCS Corporate Social Responsibility, TCS is offering Youth Employment program (Training) for RGUKT Basar Students (Current E3 (B16 Batch) students).

Please find the program details, selection criteria for the Youth Employment Program.

Program Details:
The program comprises of 3 modules covering Business communication, Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Basics of Programming, C++, Java, Python. 

The training intervention starts off during the Vth semester and continues in a phased manner till the VIIth semester via Phygital (Physical + Digital) Model.
 
1.1 Program Details 

Module 1	
• Business Skills – 16 hours
• Basics of Programming, C++ – 16 hours
• Java – 16 hours

Module 2	
• Business Skills – 32 hours
• Quantitative aptitude – 16 hours
• Data Interpretation and Reasoning – 16 hours

Module 3

• Quantitative aptitude – 16 hours
• Data Interpretation and Reasoning – 16 hours
• Python- 16 hours
• Business Skills Interview Preparation- 16 hours
• Entrepreneurship- 4 hours

1.2 Selection Criteria:
College to provide the list of students in Semester V Mechanical/Elect/Electronics/Comp Science/IT/or equivalent.

Each batch to have 50 students – comprising of 15~40% SC/ST and rest poor meritorious from all other categories.
 
SC/ST students adhering to the below conditions:
I.	Marks: Consistent academic performance (with scores of 60% and above) in Graduation, Class XII and Class X is required. CGPA - 6.0 for all students.
II.	Breaks/ Gap in Education: There should be no break in studies. However, as an exception, a maximum of 2 years of break in studies is permissible on account of valid reasons.
III.	One backlog is allowed for students.



Poor meritorious students adhering to the below income criteria (along with conditions mentioned above)

IV.	Income Criteria: Family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 6 lakh per annum. Candidates will be required to produce any of the below documents for recording the Income Criteria which is a pre- requisite.
a.	Income Tax Return document of parents/ parent as applicable. (Wherever the Income Tax. Return of parents is not filed/not available; candidates may produce either of the following documents.)
b.	Notarized Undertaking of Annual Income. (Note:  amount of the notarized bond is Rs. 20/-)
c.	Bank Statement of previous 6 months (If Parents have Bank Accounts)


TCS does a preliminary review and finalizes the students in the batches based on the eligibility criteria.

Dear Students,
Please find the rules and deadlines for SIH-2022.

TEAM FORMATION:

1) All team members should be from same college; no inter-college teams are allowed. However, members from different branches of the same college/ institute are encouraged to form a team.
2) Each team would mandatorily comprise of 6 members including the team leader. 
3) Each team must have AT LEAST ONE FEMALE TEAM MEMBER.
4) As the software edition of the hackathon is digital product development competition, majority of the team members MUST be well versed with programming skills. For the hardware edition, we encourage multi-disciplinary teams – which means your team should have a good mix of Mechanical Engineers, Electronic Engineers, Product Designers and Programmers, etc.
5) The nominated teams should have participated in the recommended Internal hackathon.

PROBLEM STATEMENTS AND PRIZES TO BE WON:
1) SIH2022 brings you problem statements from leading public and private organizations, union ministries, state governments and NGOs in India.
2) There would be ONE single winning team for every problem statement posted on the portal. The prize money will be given by the collaborating ministry/ industry ONLY IF that organization likes the idea of the winning team. However, it is NOT mandatory to announce only one winning team against each problem statement. If the collaborating ministry/ industry conclude that none of the ideas are up-to-the-mark, they may not announce any winning team at the finale.
3) Amount of prize money to be awarded to each winning team is Rs.100000/- per problem statement.
4) If there is a tie between two or more teams, the final decision of the prize money distribution will be taken by the problem statement creator only and once the decision is made, it won’t be changed further.
5) Teams are also encouraged to think out-of-the-box and provide creative solutions to themes under ‘Students Innovation’ category. Please note that only 15 teams’ max (Including theme based/Student Innovation) are allowed from one college.
6) Prize money for student innovation category will also be different. 3 teams per nodal center will be selected of which 1st prize money will be of Rs 1 Lac and 2nd of Rs 75000 and 3rd will be of Rs 50000. There may be 3-4 nodal centers (tentatively) for student innovation category.

It is hereby informed to the current E3 & E4 students of Mechanical and Civil Engineering that, in an initiative to create better awareness amongst the Civil and the Mechanical Engineering students regarding the opportunities available in the construction and infrastructure related domains, NICMAR Hyderabad has been organizing a series of webinars/seminars for the 3rd and 4th year students.

As a part of this effort, their expert faculty would be explaining to the students about how these domains are growing and evolving, what is the potential for this domain over the next few years, what are the latest technologies/management principles that are being used today and the skills needed for a student to professionally grow in this domain.

NICMAR wishes to conduct this session for the students of RGUKT Basar, at a mutually convenient date and time in the online mode (in 1st week of May 2022). Final date would be confirmed in a day or two, the session will be of around 1.5 to 2 hours. The student community at Basar would be able to benefit from the expertise of their faculty members and the proposed session would be helpful for the current E3 and E4 students regarding the explicit career opportunities for them.
